72 million years ago the largest flying pterosaur lived. The Quetzalcoatlus had a wingspan of 36 feet, making it by far the largest pretosaur to roam the earth and skies. It resembled that of a giraffe in height while standing, coming in at 16 feet tall while standing. Though the Quetzalcoatlus was a behemoth it fed upon fish and other small animals. It had a long neck and toothless beak. It was a very carnivorous dinosaur. They dwelled near freshwater and lived inland of North America. Its habitats were normally surrounded by evergreen trees. It traversed either with its giant wings or by stomping around on all four limbs. A fun fact about the Quetzalcoatlus is that it is named after the Aztec feathered serpent god, Quetzalcoatl. Though being giant it was still a scavenger. Even with the fact that the Quetzalcoatlus was a behemoth, it still moved surprisingly fast. The Quetzalcoatlus was a giant azhdarchid pterosaur from the late Cretaceous period. Instead of being like most dinosaurs, covered in feathers, it was covered with hair. Another fun fact about the Quetzalcoatlus is that its actually not a dinosaur. Also it was not a skimmer, it didnt feed in the air like other sky dwelling creatures. The Quetzalcoatlus was a solitary hunter not needing packs do to their emense size. Its very likely that they relied off of ariel survalince technics to spot food on the ground, from the skies. The Quetzalcoatlus had a massive head, huge wings, long, stiff neck, and long legs, with a body adapted for both flight and walking.
